The tale of Irish immigrant Finian McLonergan, who steals a leprechaun's pot of gold and sets off for America with his daughter to seek their fortune, is a Broadway musical classic. Written by EY Harburg. who's better-known for the film 'The Wizard of Oz', the play is updated by Peter Stone but still contains all the wonderful songs like 'How are Things in Glocca Mora?', 'Old Devil Moon' and 'When I'm Not Near the Girl I Love'. It's a romantic charming musical, sure to delight the whole family.

Nonell

This retrospective of the late 19th-century Catalan painter, Isidre Nonell, comprises 58 paintings and 45 sketches. Unappreciated by the conservative public and critics in native Barcelona, Nonell was relatively successful in Paris in the 1890s where he was considered a modern Goya. Living off commercial illustration, at which he excelled, Nonell obstinately refused to listen to the negative Barcelona critics. This chronological exhibition shows his progress from naturalism, his period of Gypsy themes and the still-life genre he adopted shortly before his early death.

Boss Hog

Boss Hog bring their awesome cocktail of funk, grunge, blues and noise to the Szene Wien. Promoting 'Whiteout', their first album in five years, the band still retain their essential characteristics - divine vocals from Cristina Martinez and hard-funking guitar chops by Jon Spencer. Featuring an array of uncompromising producers such as the two Jims - Thirwell aka Foetus and Sclavunos, formerly of Sonic Youth and now of Nick Cave's Bad Seeds - the new album has a tad more electronic glitter and programming in the sound. Spencer's legendary live performances should guarantee an above-average show and a large turnout from Vienna's rockist community.
